This rare large cream-colored enameled bowl was crafted by one of the earliest enamelware manufacturers, David MOLL of Belgium, established in 1838; products were made specifically for the French market. This piece has a riveted rim along the bottom/base. The Asian design on the bowl reflects the popular theme during the time period (late 1800s). The basin bowl was part of a set (pitcher for water and basin/bowl) for washing in the boudoir. Today the bowl is very functional in your French country decor. Shows age and use, as should be expected. Overall considered by collectors to be in very good condition. Measures 17.25 inches in diameter across the top and 6.25 inches deep. Shipping within the USA only, $30.
